Skandinavian Studies Poster Illustration
The student represents of the Scandinavian Studies course at University of Vienna, have commissioned me for an illustration for an advertising poster.
The brief was, that all of the main areas of the course (linguistics, literature studies and Old Norse studies) were reflected and that all the flags of the Scandinavian languages were present. From that I came up with a design featuring a viking (Old Norse), who's reading Pippi Longstocking (literature studies) and drinks glögg from a vocal triangle cup (linguistics). Additionally there are also a Dala horse, runes and titles of well known Scandinavian books in their original language.
Used Software
- Krita (Illustration)
- InDesign (Layout)

Skandizipedia
The Skandizipedia (Skandinavistik, Zine, Encyclopedia) is a small zine, which contains information on and illustrations of Scandinavian mythical creatures. The idea was to create a small illustrated encyclopedia, that provides facts about more or less known mythological entities. The project's goal was, to learn more about the creatures of scandinavian mythology.
The Skandizipedia was created in cooperation with Kerstin Helmlinger for the module "Edutainment" during the Scandinavian Studies course at University of Vienna.
Both of us illustrated and wrote the text. I put everything together in InDesign, to create printable files.

TheaThor 2025
TheaThor is a module in the Scandinavian Studies course at University of Vienna. Every summer semester, students write plays which get translated into multiple Scandinavian and Germanic languages, rehearsed and performed. This serves as a way to practice the studied languages and helps students to form connections. That year, the plays story was inspired by the card game "The Werewolves of Millers Hollow". I was took the task of designing and illustrating the poster and set design (which was projected onto a wall via PowerPoint).
It was important to me, that the illustrations capture the mood of the play. I listened to the ideas, wishes and suggestions of my peers and incorporated them into my work.
Used Software
- Krita (Illustrations + Animations)
- Adobe InDesign (Arrangement of text and images)
- PowerPoint (Arangement of images into a projecting slideshow)

Reminicing Adolecence
Reminicing Adolecence was my bachelor project. It includes eight animated illustrations and one static. The 2D animation is supposed to add a sense of time and bring the illustrations to life.
Every illustration in this project is based on childhood memories. They show calm moments of characters in everyday life. This project should encourage to reminice about happy moments from childhood, and possibly inspire others to share their own experiences through art.
The illustrations were designed to be used as backgrounds for mobile devices or videos, without being too distracting.
Used Software:
- Adobe Photoshop (Mockups)
- Krita (Illustrations and Frame by Frame Animation)
- Adobe After Effects (Arrangement, composition, effects)

Alone, Not Lonely.
"Home" was the theme for this project. The brief was to find a podcast for inspiration. How the theme was to be interpreted and how to execute it was left open.
My idea was to create a small graphic novel, which adresses the topic of "feeling at home with oneself". It features a character, who enjoys spending time with others just as much as spending it alone.
Used Software:
- Krita (Illustrations)
- Adobe Indesign (Arrangement of text, image and print layout)

Skellig Bookcover
This project was for the Penguin Bookcover Competition in 2022. There was no official competition that year, but they still issued a brief for portfolio work and practice purposes.
The options were to create covers for Skellig or Animal Farm. I chose Skellig from the children's book category.

Used Software
- Autodesk Sketchbook for Android (Illustration)
- Adobe InDesign (arrangement of text, image and template)
- Calligraphr (Creation of Font)
Mochi
This was my final project at HTL Spengergasse. As a team of four people we created a five minute long 2D animated short video in half a year.
In the animated short „Mochi“ the Japanese dessert of the same name symbolizes family and friendship. With a setting in Europe, the story follows a Japanese teenage girl named Milli, who lives with her grandma. Just after Millis grandma is brought to the hospital, she is greeted by her newly arrived neighbor, Nala. To comfort her dear grandma, Milli plans to make Mochi – which her grandma used to make her when she was feeling down – without the slightest clue how.
This project was made during the COVID 19 pandemic, which is why it was good exercise in remote teamwork. Through strategic time management and use of spreadsheets, we managed to maintain an overview over our progress and complete the project within the short timeframe.

Passing By
This was the annual project of fourth grade at HTL Spengergasse. In half a year an almost four minute long short video was created.
Life always moves forward, like a train. On our journey through everyday life we encounter different mishaps. Getting the memory of them out of out heads is hard, so we try doing good deeds - big or small - to douse our sense of guilt. Passing By is about life's mistakes and the attempts of compensation.

About Me
My journey as a media designer started in 2016 at the Animation course of HTL Spengergasse in VIenna. There I learned the basics of animation and various software for image editing, making graphics, video editing and 3D modelling. During my time there I worked on multiple team projects, which gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about project management, teamwork and time management. All of that was put to good use while working independently on projects during my time at University of Derby in the UK, and graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Illustration in 2023.
During my free time, I like to take walks or analyse the visual language of series or movies. When I'm not working on art digitally, I like to use aquarelle and coloured pencils.
